How to make a video guide ?

Hello 9D fans !

Having the video competition on, I want to show you how to make a video guide and post it.

First you need to register in game what you want to show as content. You have to have a program that records in game (eg. Fraps or Bandicam). If you have NVIDIA drivers you can download for free Geforce experience for free and can record.

The interface is friendly user. Press Alt +Z and the windows of Geforce goes in game. Than Alt+9 and start the record. You can register yourself also with microphone/camera on to start give advices.

How To Record Gameplay Using NVIDIA Share?
-Launch the game you want to record. Minimize it.
-Access GeForce Experience.  Make sure that ‘Sharing’ is enabled. In order to that, click the Settings’ button in the upper right corner. In the ‘General’ section you shall easily find the ‘Share’ toggle status. Set it ‘on’.
-After doing so, click on the triangulated ‘Share’ button, located in the upper right corner. You shall find the interface as shown below.
efore you start, you might need to modify the quality of your recording. Click on ‘Record’ followed by ‘Customize’, as shown above. You shall now be able to customize the resolution, FPS, and bitrate as per your requirements. Click ‘Save’ to finalize your record quality settings.
-After successfully doing so, you can start recording your gameplay. Click Record>Start to initiate the process. If you are recording for the first time, you might get a popup asking you to turn on the privacy control. This is merely a setting to enable desktop capture. Click ‘Yes’ to continue. You shall get a notification that the process has initiated.
-You shall see an icon, located in the bottom right of the screen, acting as the record status indicator. If the status is green it indicates that your gameplay is being recorded. Left to it shall be a mic icon, indicating that the device is being used, if you have enabled the use of the microphone. Head back to the game and record your necessary footage.
-To stop and save the recording, press the hotkey, ‘Alt+F9’. To toggle back the recording status, press the hotkey again. This will only work if GeForce Experience is running in the background.
-To access your recorded gameplay, you need to visit ‘C:\Users\Username\Videos’, which happens to be the default location for storage of recorded media.
-To change the storage location head over to settings, on the Nvidia Share overlay. Navigate to ‘Recordings’. Provide your desired storage location, and hence you are done.

All the videos you save will go to a folder on your computer.

To make a video you must edit the recording. There are lots of software on the market to do that. Some are free some can be bought with money. You can use also Windows Movie Maker, that is very simple and friendly to do so. Also on you tube you can edit your videos using their tools, which is free.

Now, for my video, that was a little complex I used ProShow Gold & CyberLink PowerDirector 16.

ProShow Gold let use make spectacular fraps/transitions, screens and text with FX effects. Please notice if you add lots of effects and don't have a good PC, all could crash or take a lot of time to render.

You can see the final touch of ProShow Gold here :

From ProShow Gold you can import in another video software like Power Director and start editing and play with effects, text, video speed.

After you finish with effects & text,  you can start to produce the video in a format you choose. If you make for e.g. in 4K as my video and have many transitions, effects on (like speed), your video will last long time to be produce, like 10-12 hours.

Always keep the original video file in the highest quality format. Whether you are outputting your video into a web streamable format, or burning it onto a CD/DVD, always remember to preserve the original video file in high quality. In general, DV-AVI video files have the best video quality. However, please note that 60 minutes of video can take up almost 12GB of hard disk space, so be sure to have enough storage space. The next best thing to DV-AVI is using a high quality MPEG-2 compressed file format, which enables you to save up to 2 hours of high quality MPEG-2 video onto a single DVD disc (4.7GB).

After you finish to produce, you must make a You Tube account and post the video (with your gmail account can make the you tube channel very easy) :

Create a new channel
With a Google Account, you can watch and like videos and subscribe to channels. However, without a YouTube channel, you have no public presence on YouTube. Even if you have a Google Account, you need to create a YouTube channel to upload videos, comment, or make playlists. You can use a computer or the YouTube mobile site to create a new channel.
Create a personal channel
Follow these instructions to create a channel that only you can manage using your Google Account.
Sign in to YouTube on a computer or using the mobile site.
Try any action that requires a channel, such as uploading a video, posting a comment, or creating a playlist.
If you don't yet have a channel, you'll see a prompt to create a channel.
Check the details (with your Google Account name and photo) and confirm to create your new channel.

After you uploaded the video (can be raw form/ as you fils it ) you can modify also on you tube :

The quality of the video you produce is very important. If you don't produce in HD format, You Tube will not make it in HD. Also after you upload you need to wait few hour to be uploaded in HD  1080 to 4k or even a day (I got for eg. 4K in 1 day after I posted). Don't panic to delete your video if you don't see from the start the HD Format, just be pacience and wait. The format is very important because gives clarity for the video.
